E. S. Douglas, former open champion, has been appointed professional to the Otago Golf Club. He will he succeeded as coach for the North Shore Club by Nome Bell. Bell, besides being a prominent golfer, is holder of the Dominion’s singles howling championship. LEEDS FINAL. LONDON, May 24. At Leeds in the golf final. Whitcombe defeated Bather at the thirtyninth hole. LONDON. May 23. The Leeds golf final was played m drenching rain. Both players were brilliant. Whifeombe’s: victory was due to‘his driving.
