Hitherto the coal owners have adhered to the view that the wages could he discussed and dittlod only in the districts, according to varying circumstances. and local requirements. Mr A. J. Cook, the Miners’ Secretary, after the Executive n/eting, said that they would do everything in their power to facilitate the success of the negotiations, so that peaeje in the mining industry might he secured.
