FRIDAY, MAY 22nd

This evening another very fine programme will be broadcast from the model studio at the Auckland Radio

Exhibition. Once again the Orchestral Octet will appear and vocal items will be given by the New Clarion Quartet (consisting of Misses Lillian Woods, Beryl Smith, Messrs Lambert Harvey and Duncan Black). Piano solos will iUIUS- . be given Ijy Mr Eric Bell,'humorous numbers by Mr Zante Wood and novelty items 'bv Mr Elton Black and Miss' Alice Bennetto.* Instrumental items will be given by Bert K'ngsland’s Saxophone- Quartet, soprano solos by Mrs "• Laetitia Parry and-.tenor solos by Mr Ralph Eskrigge. The 2YA Orchestrina,, under Signor A. P. Truda, will play the overture “The Spartan,” a selection, “A Day in Paris,” fantasia “Ideal Aida” and the march '“Tzigane.” Mr E. H. .Tones, Welsh basso, will again delight listeners with four songs. Miss Mary Bald (contralto) a new comer to 2YA will he heal'd in three songs with orchestral accompaniment. The ha l '-, mony Four, a clever instrumental combination will be heard in a budget of nopular songs and melodies. Abso included on this programme is Miss Ellis Gilders, pianiste.

A new combination of instrumentalists, the Harold Comans Orchestra, will be heard from 3YA, contributing saxophone solos, one steps, waltzes and foxtrots, trombone solos and marches'.' Miss Maisie Ottey, novelty pianiste, will provide several items. Mbs F;. M. Hollands will give two humorous numbers in Irish dialect. Mrs C. Drake will contribute pianoforte solos and a programme of popular instrumental music will, be provided by The Ambassadors.

Soprano solos will be- given by Mbs Adele Taylor, contralto- solos gy Mb s Kay Christie, and a “Drawing Room Entertainment” by The Asquiths. Mr C. C. Purdy will be. heard in whistling solos.

3YAis vaudeville programme, will include Mrs K. Henderson (singing the popular type of songsi, Mr Douglas Suckling (tenor), and Mr R. W. Rofe (haHg). The sketch artists will be Mr and Mrs J. W. Bailey, the- well known Auckland - entertainers. The flautist yBl I>e Mr A. E. Hutton. Mr Stan. (Birch will play medleys of popular airs and of Irish' arms on bis hr nml in. Mr Lyndon •Christie and Miss Clive AVinston (saxophone and piano respectively) will be the novelty duo. This programme will also be relayed to 4YA, Dunedin.
