NON-UNIONISTS ENGAGED. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE. May 21. One thousand members of the Waterside Workers’ Federation attacked a small number of volunteer wot kers in day, who had been engaged to unload the inter-Stale steamer “Manmida.” Several weiv knocked down and kicked. their lunch baskets being thrown into the river Ynrra, and their bicycles wrecked, while stomjs were thrown. Polic.c rein orcements scon arrived, and restored order, and afforded protection to the men at work there.
