TWO BRITISH SPECIALS
TO-NIGHT AND SATURDAY
Any doubts as to tin* ability of tbe British film industry to produce talking pictures ot a high standard must be- dispelled; after seeing the two feature films ;in the new programme to be preseritfd at. the Princess Theatre tonight and- Saturday. It is, only , occasionally that a picture of the quality of “Loose Ends.” is produced, and the management is to be congratulated on securing this wondei_ fill British film. “Loose Lends has
been one of the greatest stage successes in London in recent years and the cast for the film production is a particularly strong one, headed by Edna Best and Owen Nares two leading stage favourites, in England. Owen N a res 's responsible for wonderfully fine acting, and should prove as popular a, screen actOr as lie is on the legitimate stage. The other production is “Not H" Quiet on the Western front. ft. is burlesque of war-time experiences, and with Leslie Fuller, one o>' tbe mod. popular British comedians, as tbe principal fun-maker, the audience is provided with humorous entertainment of. a rare quality. Further chapters of the serial will also be shown.
