TERMINATION OF ENGAGEMENTS

One hundred and twenty replies were received by the Auckland Education Board from married women teachers stating their reasons why they consider their engagement should not bo terminated as the Board had decided a.t last meeting to dismiss married women whose husbands were in good circumstances.
After discussion in Committee to-day as to the best method of deciding the merits of the applications for exemption from dismissal, the Board set up a special committee to report to the next meeting.
