After a trial involving 170 sittings, Commander Alvaro Martinell, Bank ('’resident, has been sentenced to thirteen years imprisonment for fradullont bankruptcy and embezzlement. Other directors and officials were sentenced to terms of from six to one year respectively. It was alleged that liabilities nearly half a million sterling were incurred as the restm of the acts of the accused.
