At Gardone in the presence of Signor Gabriel D’Annunzio, Kaye Don sped across Lake Garda at one hundred miles an hour, easily beating a speed ol eighty miles an .hour attained by an Italian competitor, Count Rossi. Don thus succeeded in winning Signoi D’Annunzio’s trophy. ,
Signor D’Annunzio danced with jov at the speed attained by Don, and blew kisses to Kaye Don. Probably Don will attack the record on Sunday. He is allowing Gabrielle D’Annunzio to accompany him on his attempt.
Don corrects the evening papers announcement that he won the D’Annunzio trophy. He won the first heat onl\. He must yet circuit the course twice. Don’s attempt at the record is being postponed, owing to the necessity of repairing the Miss, England. .
