MOVE TO 1 STOP CUTTING

WANGANUI, May 13

For some weeks past master bakers have been concerned at the cut prices of bread in the chain, stores, many of wlijch have been selling two-pound loaves at 4cl and 4id. A conference of bakers from Palmerston North to New Plymouth yesterday decided to stop the cutting,of prices. It was decided that the price be sixpence over the counter and sevenpence delivered. It was decided also to form an association of bakers in Wanganui. RELIEF OF DISTRESS. DUNEDIN, May 13. The Dunedin Savings Bank trustees have granted £SOO for the relief of distress in Dunedin, the amount to be distributed by the Salvation Army and a. committee representing the trustees.
