LATE LOCALS.
The meeting of the All Saints’ Meiiis Club will be held to-night, not on Tuesday night as previously published. A motor cyclist, Mr H. McKenzie of Chr’istcbureh, sustained serious injuries to his head and face, on Saturday afternoon reports the Inangahua “Times”. He wa s proceeding from (Weymouth to Westport.via Inangahua Valley, and was going at a fairly fast pace. When nearing Mr Silcook’s residence at Larry’s, where the high sides of tlie railway cutting, stops all sight of the passing trains, he came right on to the train from Inangahua Junction, and to save himself, ran tho machine on to the side of the road and was thrown heavily to the ground. where he lay unconscious. He was picked up some time later by Mr and Mrs Blaekmun, who were proceeding to Reefton bv car. On arrival her? he received medical attention. and the injuries on the face and head attended to. Mr McKenzie was liater taken on to (Weymouth by Mr Blaekmun. A peculiar feature about the accident is'that no one on the train saw it.
