OUTWARD WHARFAGE
SYDNEY HARBOR DUES. (Australian Press Association.) (Received 11.15 a.mA SYDNEY. May iz. All goods shipped at Sydney in any vessel, will be subject from tomorrow to an outward wharfage or harbour •ate of Is 6d per ton, except in certain specified cases, where special rates win be charged. It is expected that the new charge R will result in a substantial increase in the revenue Sydney Harbour Trust. The Chairman of the Harbour Trust Commissioners said certain goods, including wool, wheat and coal had been subject to such a charge for a year. •Shippers ol other goods had been enjoying facilities offered by the port, without any impost of thi s nature, and the Commissioners considered it was reasonable that they should he called upon to pay for the services rendered.
