The Chairman of the Harbour Trust Commissioners said certain goods, including wool, wheat and coal had been subject to such a charge for a year. •Shippers ol other goods had been enjoying facilities offered by the port, without any impost of thi s nature, and the Commissioners considered it was reasonable that they should he called upon to pay for the services rendered.
