Sir Flinders Petrie, who has just returned from Palestine, says scraps are being collected from four thousand year old ruins for dispatch to the University, London; may hold important secrets. They were obtained at Na7.ii- which was the first city of the Shepherd Kings unearthed in Palestine. Abraham rested here ahoiity when journeying to Egypt. Mosquitoes delayed the excavations for two months taking a toll of the workers as they died. IV lien the destroyed city had eighty rooms excavated, they found constructed of large yellowish bricks, excellently laid ceilings as high as those of modern London, and a long street and cross thoroughfares were uncovered. There are only two levels deeper to go. when more interesting finds are. expected.
