WOOL SALES.
MELBOURNE, May 9 The National Council of wool selling brokers of Australia stated the sales this year had shown a considerable -increase. Tlie figures were 1,877,384 bales in 1929-30 season and 2,172,913 for the year just closed. On the other hand the number of bales shipped overseas for the present season are about two thousand fewer than last year.
