NEWSPAPER STRIKE
IN LONDON. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) i LONDON, May 8. The second lightning strike during the present, week, was launched during the printing, of the final edition or the “Evening News” last night. The maehinemon, in defiance of their Union’s instrucljpns, refused to carry on when ..the employers decided to run only the necessary machines. The ovei* time men demanded that all of tho machines should bo worked, or nemo. The “Evening News” then informed the proprietors of the “Star” and “Standard,” who immediately stopped
printing. The, maeJi.ineuron have threatened to extend the strike to the morning papers.
