WILLIAM HAINES A HIT AS DAREDEVIL COWBOY. PROVES TOPNOTCH COMIC STAR IN’ “WAY OUT WEST.” Cowboy stunts with William Hainos comedy—this is the screen fare at the Princess Theatre, where Haines’ newest talking romance, “Way Out West” is being shown.

The story is a whimsical tale of the modern back country, with the irrespFeasible Haines app earing as a circus “spruiker” who, after taking a bunch of cowboys down ior their wages, is made by them to turn cowboy so that they may claim his wages to wipe out the “debt.”

His initiation into the work of a rancher, his struggles learning to ride none too gentle horses and his cattle adventures furnish hilarious corned.v Brilliant horsemanship and a pretty love story add other attractions to the new picture. The locals are specially interesting. Buddy Roosevelt, well known as a Western star, with Jack Pennick and Jay Wilsey, furnish a series of riding thrills. Haines’ battle with the cow boys in the deserted pueblo, the at tempted lynching party, the thrilling rescue ride -with jVliss Hymns, and Other bits of excitement keep the ston moving at lightning speed throughout '■}; Fred; Nibbl displayed an unusually competent sense of comedy value in the direction mf, Haines’, latest talkie, which, is all the more, surprising in consideration of the fact that it is the first comedy in-seven years.. Niblo maintains that slapstick must be handled with ; care and that a certain amount of subtlety'is appreciated by modern movie audiences even in comedy. ■ Ho has done a splendid job with; “Way.,Out West”. ..
