FURTHER GISBORNE SHOCKS. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) GISI3ORNE, May 7. 'There were several more minor earth tremors this afternoon. Cyril George Carey, fanner, 53, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s Court, to being intoxicated whilst in dmrge of «i motor c<u*. According to the evidence, he crashed into a pillar of a railway bridge on the Hiitt Road at a speed of 25 miles an hour, after driving all over the road. Evidence was also given that he was under the influence of liquor. 'The Magistrate took into account, in sentencing him, the monetary, loss of £l2O as the result of the accident, Carey was fined £lO, and was deprived of his license for six months. hotel destroyed. MASTER TON. Mnv 7. 'Tluv Bhiirloeie Hotel, a two-storev building, about 25 miles from Masterton, was burned to the ground this afternoon.
