A large pnrtyyof Burma rebels attacked a detachment of police near Brume and it is,, feared thm district superintendent of police, Austin ,11ml several officers and men were kiileer. 'llie survivors reached police headquarters and stated they were surrounded and had no time to pick up their arms.
A Barman officer hearing the news set out with a large party of police and encountered sixty rebels. They killed seven and wounded many.
