MUM SHOW
A WONDERFUL DISPLAY. WEDNESDAY, MAY 6. Idle annual Chrysanthemum Show in and of the All Saints’ Church took place at the Soldiers’ Hall to-day. ’J Here was a remarkably fine, display especially in the cut 'mums. These were all local grown, but they easily excel both iu quality and quantity any of the previous displays of the past which have been uniformly successful. The wonderful array of blooms showing is a remarkably fine one ana was the* subject of much favourable comment, and showed the very high standard attained by local enthusiasts. The cookery section was also a very attractive one and there was very keen competition in a number of the classes, the quality of the exhibits being very fine. The vegetable section was a some* what weak one, while the miscellaneous classes proved attractive and thg childrens writing and drawing section was also of an interesting nature. Altogether the Show is a very fine one indeed and the management are to be complimented on the. very fine display gathered together.
