Sir Alan Anderson, director of UnBank of England before the International Chamber of Commerce to-day discussing the warning against placing the burden of international settlements on gold, asked if it would not he better to cancel such obligations. A Chinese delegation urged the Chamber to bring about an immediate international conference to stabilise tlie price of silver. GOLD STANDARD.
