The Registrar-General reveals that? out of forty thousand enumerators, who were employed in taking the'British census, including twelve thousand unemployed,, two thousand of the enumerators defaulted; Some did so in the middle of their work, without any explanation. The prosecution of the worst offenders is contemplated.
