BOXING

DONOVAN BEATS WHITLOW. (By Teleyraph.—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 29. Tommy Donovan, professional featherweight boxing champion of the Dominion, easily outpointed Allan Whitlow, of Arizona, in a 15 rounds contest to-night. The Waitara fireman was too fast and clever for the American, who won only two rounds. Whitlow failed to follow up the few advantages he had towards the close of the contest, and the crowd started to count the American out. Whitlow weighed in at 9st lib and Donovan at 9st 2lhs.
