When returned, it read “William 1.R.” Judge Richenbarh decided that the •signature was illegel and returned the paper with blue pencil marks querying the signature. ( The ex-Kaiser this time signed it Wilhelm, Prince of Prussia, and simultaneously filed a suit for damages against the .Judge, claiming that the pencil marks constituted a property damage.

The first meeting of the joint committee of the Houses of Lords and the Commons, considering the Passenger Transport Bill, announced a provisional agreement was reached .for the transfer of all London’s underground railways to the proposed new London Transport Board.
