A jolting quake at 5 yesterday, was followed by a severe disturbance at flji-I to-day. being of sufficient strength to cause many people to hurriedly leave IniildSngs. No damage was done. SHARP EARTHQUAKE. WAIPUKURAU. April 22. A severe earthquake shock was experienced at 11.12 this morning. The shock comprised a sudden jolt followed by a gentle swaying motion. People hurriedly left, buildings and rushed into the street and open places. Children promptly evacuated from the schools. No damage is reported. Clocks stopped, overhead wires rocked and buildings creakdtf ominously. The residents of Waipawa were similarly alarmed but there was no damage. SEVERE SHOCK. WAIROA, April 22.
