EVERYBDDYS PICTURES. "SAFETY IN NUMBERS ” TO-NIGHT ONLY. Pity a poor young man worth millions, and in love with five gorgeous girls! That is the pleasant plight ol the handsome Charles "Buddy” Balers in his latest Paramount picture. "Safety in Numbers”, which comes to the Princess Theatre to-night. "Buddy” is seen as the heir to £87,500,000. His uncle decides to send him to'New York to be trained in the ways of the wily old world bv three old friends. He finds that Ids uncle’s "old friends”, are three beauteous Follies girls—Carol Lombard, Josephine Dunn and Kathryn Crawford, who live in a swell apartment, and they make "Buddy” feel at home. Each falls in love with "Buddy,” but Kathryn falls the hardest. "Buddy” falls for Virginia. Bruce, gorgqou s blonde telephone operator in the building, then ho falls in love with Geneva. Mitchell. But Kathryn has plots of her own, and she finally wins "Buddy” incidentally helping him to prove to the "big shots” of Broadway that he is a musical comedy comopser and producer to be reckoned with. To-morrow (Thursday) night at the Princess Theatre, Ronald Biloy and his Comedy Company will pay a return visit to Hokitika, when they will stage the amusing comedy "Tr.ish Eyes”. Those.who patronised the Company when here some three weeks ago will have most pleasant recollections of the presentation of "Happy Go Lucky o’Flvnn” and will look forward to an equally enjoyable entertainment on Thursday. Mr Bonald Biloy will be supported by Miss Doreen Scott, a charming young, comedienne. Misses Marie D’Alton, Miriam Osborne and Lillian Keors. >:■ and Messrs Monerioff.
