ISLAND FRUIT TRADE

REGULATIONS AMENDED. (By Telegraph — Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 10. Tn the Gazette to-night the amended regulations governing the (Vol< Island fruit trade are published. They will come into force immediately. Regulation o of the principal regulations is amended by revoking sections (1) and f 3) thereof and substituting therefor the following sections:—

“(I) No oranges shall ho passed ns fit for export unless they are of and between two and one-half inches to three and one-eighth inches in diameter and unless they are pocket t-'cked. “(3) No tomaoes shall be passed as fit for export which are under the grade of two inches in diameter.” Regulation 10 of the principal regulation, s is amended by omitting the words “on his own plantation’'’ whore they occur in clause (11 of sub-vcDm (af of section (7) of the said regulation.
