Ihe last wool sale ol the W ellington series opened to-day with a lull bench of buyers, 'i here wits a. catalogue of 34.009 hales. The market was easier Hum at March sale and values were well under growers ideas, proltiodv 20 per cent, of tin* offerings being passed. Prici-s for average qualities of halfbred declined pi to ;[tl per lb. Superfine crossbreds sold well tit ,',d to pi less. The average crossbreds full was fd to ;{d and shabbier sorts Id down. Japan demanding Lincoln and Lincoln crosses, made prices to between Sd and I,)d. Lambs showed a sharp fall. Tlier * was it good supply and good quality, was 2tl to 2111 less. Good sunpoi' l wits given tin* sale by Bradford and Continent and for bellies and pieces and similar lines, France was a very keen competitor.
