WHEAT AND BREAD
PRODUCERS MEET PREMIER. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 11. The. feature of the wheat industry, the sliding .scale ol duties, and the price of bread were questions lully discussed Lo-dav with the Prime -Minister by the Dominion representatives of the wheat growers, millers and bakers in association with the South Island members of Parliament. Certain proposals were submitted to the Prime Minister. It was arranged to discuss the position further. After the second conference, Air Forbes will make a pronouncement indicative of the, Government’s; policy.
