HAWKE’S BAY MERGER PROPOSED. (By Telegraph—Per F'ress Association) HASTINGS, April 13. The proposed merger of the,Hawke's Hay Farmers' Aleut Company with Nelsons (X.Z.) Ltd. has been deferred for three years as the result of a substantial majority favouring such a course- at a meeting of shareholders in the former company. Points in the suggested agreement had been drawn up for shareholders’ consideration. but before being submit ted a motion, as stated, closed the matter for the time being.
