RADIO PROGRAMME
(Supplied by the Radio Broadcasting Company ol’ N.Z. Ltd.) MONDAY. APRIL 13th. The dramatic play, “Joan of Arc’’ is to be produced by Mr J. If. Montague and his company at 2) A this evening. Conductor It. .J. Fstall o! the W°olston Band lias arranged a line programme for his men at J) A. An outstanding item should be a trombone solo, “If With All Your Hearts, played by Bandsman F. Williams. A horn solo, “•lona’’ will he played by Bandsman Turner. Miss Mvra Pollard, mezzo-soprano, is one of the vocalists. Me/./o-contralto solos will be presented by Mrs Rhys Morgan, while popular baritone and bass solos will be sung by Messrs Frank Jackson and R. W. Role respectively. The Four Aces Concert party will be responsible for the entertainment to be broadcast by 4YA. I"e concerted numbers will be a teature. Solos and duets of a popular type will also be suing by the “Aces,” and a “Joker” will also play his part. Tinpianist of the party will ho Mr Noilnnn Bachop, who will play “T'inlandin.” The Studio Trio will contribute to the programme. Silent day at IYA. TUESDAY. APRIL 14th. IYA listeners who heard the roo‘‘nt broadcast of the one-act play, “The Price” written by Dr George do Clive Lowe, of Auckland, will look forward with pleasurable anticipation to the presentation this evening of another tiii-ee-act play from the same author, entitled “Destiny’s Door.” Once again the play will be produced by Mrs Zoo Rai-tl -v Baxter, who will lead an excellent cast. Outstanding numbers on 2YA’s programme by the Lyric Quartet will b< “Mysterious Mose,” “Song of Swanee’* and Widdicombe Fair.” The Salon •Orchestra will be heard in a programme of instrumental music acceptably to all tastes. A feature of the programme will he a one-act play entitled “The Silver Salt Cellars.” This will be played by M.ss kfrncie Ivcit and Mr James Cooke, a pair of clever sketch artists. This evening -IYA will he relaying from the Concert Chamber of the Dunedin Town Hall a first class concert to he given by the Dunedin Philharmonic Society and assisting artistes under the conduetorship ol Signor S(|Uarise. The vocal numbers will comprise Bemberg’s “Hindoo Song,” Debussy’s “At Evening” and Messenet’s “Open Thy Blue Eyes.” Silent day at 3YA.
