CYCLING SPORTS
TURTILL IN FORM. The Hokitika Cycling Club were, blessed with a fine day for their sports held in Cass Square on Saturday afternoon. The programme presented included three cycling handicap races, two miles West Coast championship, step dancing, and children s sports. Mr H. Turtill. of Groymouth (N.Z. ono mile champion and South Island 9 mile champion) accented for the Coast championship and Wheel RaceHe rode splendidly all through the day.. Mr Jack Havill. runner up in both events also rode well. There was a fair attendance of spectators who wmo rewarded with n bright, good afternoon’s sports.
