Though beaten St. Xt a ry's put up a good allowing and some of tlie guinea were very evenly fought. In some of the games, in the men’s and ladies’ doubles short games had to be played owing to the fading light, St, Colombo won by 12 sets and 32 games against St, Alary’s 3 sets ami 43 games.
