STRIKES SUBMERGED OBJECT DAMAGE UNDER CONTROL. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 11. -The Union Coy’s, steamer Kini reported by radio at 11.20 last night that she struck a submerged object in the vicinity of Bear Island. The Kini’s bilges leak and the propellor is damaged, but tho water is well under control. There was a dense fog. The latest report stated she was anchored off Napier. [The Kini is a new steamer of 1,388 gross tonnage and 650’ h.p.]
