SKI-ING FATALITY

Helen Stack, aged 25, daughter of tip* Sirdar who was assassinated at Cairo in 1924, skiing at Laubarhorn (Switzerland) at a speed of 35 miles nu hour collided with a fellow skier, Lionel Balfour, the well-known London aviator. She fractured her skull and d i'?d almost immediately. Batfour was injured. Lady Stack watched the disaster through field glasses. The accident was unprecedented in Switzerland. ’I he skiers were turning in order to keep down the speed and met head on with a terrific crash.
