There were 350 iiead of fat cattle yarded, the quality being good, especially the steers. The demand was steady Best steers sold up to Cl 7 7s 6d, heavy £l4 10s to £l6 15s, prime CIO to £.12 ss. medium £5 to L 7. Best r'Uvs sold up to £ll 17s 6d, prime £6 to C 9, medium C 3 10s to £4 15s, plain from £2 15s. Best heifers sold up to £ll 2s 6d. prime £8 to £0 15s, medium £6 5s to C 7 15s. others from £4.
There, was a small yarding (l f store lambs. There was an all-round rise of Is per head.
There was a smaller yarding of adult store sheep. Recent rates wore main-
tained. There was a fair yarding of fat sheep, and a brisk sale, with an improvement. especially for ewes, on recent rates. Best wethers sold to 19s lOd. prime 14s 6d to 16s od, medium 12s to 14s 6d. lighter from 9s. Heavy ewes sold to 13s 7d. prime 10s 6d to 11s 6d. medium 8s 6d to 10s. light from (ck. inferior from 4s 6d.
There was a small entry of fat lambs and a sharp rise on recent rates by over Is a bead Best lambs sold to 18s 7d, prime 15s 9d to 17s. medium 14s 6d to 15s 6d. light 12s to 13s Od. plain from 10s There was a medium yarding of porkers, and a small entry of haeoners. There was a slight advance on late rates. Porkers sold from 35s 6d to 425. heavier 53s to 50s. baeoners 49s to 555. heavier 57s 6d to 68s 6d. choppers £2 10s to £4 ISs 6d.
