ACCIDENT TO PLANE
PILOT’S NARROW ESCAPE. WANGANUI, April 7. A pilot named Buchanan, from Wairarapa, who has just obtained his pilot’s license, had a narrow escape at the Wanganui airporL yesterday, when landing in a Moth. He attempted 'to' land in , a cross wind, apparently not having observed, the signals. The machine humped ifliree times and somersaulted a few feet from the lire signm Benzine spurted over the engine biddid not- ignite. Buchanan was unhmt.
