What is probably the last AngloFrench international match for some time, unless France speedily settles her internal squabble, cabled on 2nd March, resulted in France, despite the handicap of the absence of several foremost players, triumphing magnificently. The lead changed five times. England was leading by 13 to 10 ten minutes from the end, after which Bailetto picked up from the loose and brilliantly scored a drop goal from forty yards. The kick elevated France to second place in the international championship which Wales won. England are the wooden spoonists.
