CONFERENCE AT TIM All U. (By Telegraph —Per Press Association ) TIMABU, April 5. Approximately forty delegates are attending the annual conference of the Federated Catholic Clubs of New Zealand which is being held here aft. r a period of sixteen -years. The conference is well representative ol the South Island but no entries for competition were received from the North Island. The object of the conference is to foster goodfeilowship amongst Catholic organisations and activities including sporting and educational competitions. The delegates were officially welcomed by the Very Rev. Dean Holley, parish priest, the Mayor (■Mr W. Augland). and Air J. Roseveare (president of the 'I imam Catholic Club). The oratorical contest resulted: —W. L. Curry (Christchurch) 1, J. C. Mowat (Dunedin) 2, L. E. Carrol (South Dunedin) 3. The elocution contest resulted:—W. Min *luin (TimaniV I: H.
