The no isos t meeting siine the City Council took over from the civil eomiiiissioiipi s was ended by Alderman McElhone walking out with the Labour Alderman, leaving the Council without quarum. Thus for the second time the Council has been prevented from dealing with the Lord Mayor’s minute to abolish the Internal Audit Departments and re-organise both under the Town Clerk's supervision The Lord Mayor said the position was so serious he would take legal advice to meet it.
