OTTAWA, March 31
Payment of an export bounty duty bv tbo Federal Government to stimulate tiie grain trade was brought up in the House of Commons by Mr A. M. Carmichael (Progressive). He said at a meeting held at Glidden. Saskatchewan, a resolution was passed calling on the Government to pay an export duty of fifteen cents on wheat, ten cents on rye. and fii'e cents on oats. Had the Government, be asked. given consideration of this plan, or was there an alternative under consideration.
The Prime Minister requested the question to be placed on the order paper, and an answer would be given later.
