POSITION OF BOARD’S FUND. (By Telegraph—Per Press Associationj AY ELLjI NO TON, Yiarch 31. The Minister of Labour made a statement regarding the financial positio.n of the Unemployment Board. The position at the end of last week showed icceipts from the levy to 28 / 2 31 we re £178,335. Recei pt s front levy since 1/3 31, £49.645; total £227,980.
Expenditure and committments (£382,070), less subsidy to be received from the consolidated fund £191,035. Balance in fund £3(5.945.
'There is less than one week’s expenditure in tho fund at the moment Until the amount of the quarter’s levy which fell due on Ist March is paid up.
To 23rd Yiarch £49,645 or less than one third of the amount that reasonably could be expected to be collected, had been received.
