At the central criminal court, four youths, all under the age of twenty, were sentenced to death during the past eight days. In each case the penalty was on a charge of murder. Thomas O’Hara, aged eighteen, and Vernon Benhern, aged sixteen, were found guilty of having murdered Dan Loo, a Chinese, at Bathhurst.
