SCHOOL MATCHES. At Hokitika on Saturday, the Greymouth Technical School eleven met the Hokitika High School (team, the visitors winning by seven runs on the first innings. Grey-mouth made 48, Marshall 24, Collett 9 and Blair not out 6, being best scorers. Hokitika replied with 41 (Knowles 15). In the their second attempt, Technical did much better, declaring with two wickets down for 54; (Marshall 14, Tindale not out 32, Collett 4). The home side had made 28 for the lwss of three wickets at the call of time; Adamson being best with 10. In bowling, Blair took 4 wickets for 5 runs, Gilmore 2 for 3, Orr 3 for 4 and Rose 1 for 11, against Hokitika in the latter’s first innings; while Blair took 1 for 13 and Orr . 2 for 6 in the second, For Hokitika Knowles captured 4 for 25, and Stapleton 6 for 30; and in Greymouth’s second innings Knowles averaged 1 for 11, Stapleton 0 for 15, and Adamson 1 for 22.
