EXPERT VERDICT. LOST AT SEA. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE, March 2D. The exports are now almost convinced that tlie Southern Cloud was lost at sea. Several people confidently assert that they saw a Fokkej- plane' cast of Malvern. No other Fokker was in the air at the time. The steamer Larnah reports that at 5.10 on Saturday evening, March 21*t. a multi-engined plane' circled the ship at mid-way between the Oeilibmwl lighthouse and the Reads. The ship’s company were unaware of the significance of the incident until they reached Launceston, and read the reports in the newspapers.

ANOTHER REPORT OF FOUNDERING IN BAY. (Received 10. Jo a.m.) MKLIIOURNE, March 31. A woman at Port Alington states slu> saw a large plane dive into Port Phillip, late on the Saturday afternoon of the disappearance ol the “Southern Cloud.” significantly wreckage was sighted in the vicinity when the plane search was undertaken yesterday. Plot Mo'PiVon. in the Southern .Moon.- searched the Bay and whilst off Port Arlington, the observer in the plane signalled him to return. Ibe observer later said lie felt sure lie had seen what appeared to be the wing ol a nlane at the bottom ol the Bay.
