A committee was formed to examine the possibilities. A Russian, Professor Kritamnn, replying to criticism of the Soviet exporting policy said Russia was stimu.sting production to meet her ever increasing home demand. The cost of machinery therefore, must he paid by exports, which wore far below piewar. He denied the existence of forced labour. The Soviet was ready to consider proposals, hut was not prepared to bind themselves to any.
