NEW YORK, March 26,

Fred Burke, who nas been indicted for the St. \ alemiue Day massacre (cabled oil February l-Atii, 1929, at Chicago), was arrested m a lanu house near Bt. Joseph (in Alissouri) to. day. The prisoner is characterised by tiie Cliic-ago authorities as "‘the most dangerous man alive.” He was placed in a specially constructed cell in St. Joseph Gaol, with two guards. A large number of crimes is charged against Burke, including half a dozen murders besides the St. Valentine Day massacre, and robberies totalling a million dollars.
