LATE LOCALS.
Unless copious rains are experienced soon the dry conditions which have prevailed throughout practically the whole of the Auckland province during February and the present month threaten! to curtail production toward the close of the dairy season.
The annual meeting of the Women’s Institute took place in >St. Audrewe’s Hall last Tuesday evening, Mrs Hopkins presided over a good attendance. A programme was drawn up for the' ensuing 8 months and it was decided to meet on the Ist Tuesday evening of each month. Th c following committee was elected. President: Mrs Hopkins. Vice President: Mrs Parkhill. Treasurer: Miss Duff. Committee: Mrs Neville, Mrs Perry, Mrs Appleton. Mrs Conning and Mrs Mclntvro.
