WASHINGTON March 26
The smallest drum wheat acreage planted since 1918 is reflected in the report of the Agricultural Department issued on Wednesday. The report states it is the intention of farmers to plant 3,599,000 acres which is 17.5 per cent, of last year’s planting or slightly more than half the record of 1928 acreage. The intended acreage of spring wheat, other than drum wheat, is estimated at 13,992,000 acres or 88 per cent, of tin? 1930 acreage.
