Latest reports from Cawnporo reveal the gravest situation. The fiercest of

fighting was occurring in the .streets. Up to this morning over one hundred were killed and five hundred injured ih re were many brutal assaults on woman and children. A lobs of maddened Hindus and Moslems set fire to shops and buildings throughout the City. The terror stricken inhabitants are fleeing into the eountrv.

Ihe Curfew order was enforced and hundreds of police were drafted to the City from Lucknow. Allahabad and neighbouring towns.

DELHT, March 26

Onwnpore is now practically deserted, following a continuation of communal rioting.

It is conservatively estimated tint thirty were killed, and one hundred and seventy injured.

DELHT. March 26. Motor cars were attacked by rioters and many Europeans were injured.
