RISE IN STATE DUTIES. SYDNEY, ALirch 25. A sharp increase in duties is provided in the Stamp Duties Amendment Bill introduced in the Now South 'Wales Assembly. The new duties range from two per cent on estates up ‘to one thousand su-iling to twenty vy,> p f . r cent, on estates worth one hundred thousand sterling and over. The present rate on the estates, oxceo-’ing one hundred thousand pounds is per cent.
