ACUUNTANT TO PROVIDENT SOCIETY. WELLINGTON, .Marcii 21. Sums amounting to Cl 120 are mentioned in a. charge of theft against Albert Kcllenvay, aged thirty-seven, an accountant employed by the Australian .Mutual Provident Society, the alleged thefts being over a period from October, 1927. to October, 1930. He appeared before .Mr M’Xeil. S.M.. and was remanded on C2-;0 bail to April I, on his own counsel’s application. It- was stated by tlm police that since being interviewed ■ accused had given every assistance to arrive at the amount of the defalcation.
